Not only have our teachers undergone a rigorous training program used worldwide in over 270 Arthur Murray Studios, most of them have been dancing since before they could walk!

How long do I need?

We usually suggest 6 months as the perfect amount of time. This gives you time to learn your routine, get comfortable and pick up a few extra steps along the way. The more you know, the more relaxed and prepared you’ll both be on the day. However, don’t stress! If your wedding is in a few weeks, our teachers can work their magic and prepare something fabulous for you and your partner.

Minal & Nirvan

Minal & Nirvan wanted to create a unique wedding dance that honoured their Indian culture fused with the elegance and romance of ballroom & latin dancing. Nirvan has been dancing since she was a child in lots of different styles and even taught Indian traditional dancing, but she had never tried ballroom dancing. Minal had never danced before in his life! Having enjoyed the process of putting this routine together, they have kept up with regular weekly dance lessons as a fun shared hobby to continue with as husband and wife.

Andre & Veronika

Andre & Veronika were visiting from the Czech Republic and had a handful of lessons at the Crows Nest Studio prior to heading home with this beautiful choreography. Andre’s Mum, Karolina, has been dancing at the Studio for years and was so thrilled to be able to share her love of dance with her son and future daughter-in-law.

Do I need to have picked a song?

Nope! But if you have something in mind, bring it along on your first lesson. If you can’t find anything, our teachers have loads of songs up their sleeves.
